Simon Roberts, William Eggleston & Martin Parr

I like this photo mainly becaused of how laidback the woman looks. It looks like it is based a few decades back where women may not have been seen as superior people, but in this photo she looks like she doesnt have a care in the world. She is also doign something that may be thought of something that a man should do; filling the car with petrol. I just love how relaxed she is and how she looks fully confident in what she is doing.

I really liked this photo because of the contrasts in it. The first one i saw was the colours in the dresses, one being blue and one being red and then how they stood out against the brown and the stony coloured wall behind. I then noticed that the girls look like they could almost be from different time eras. The one on the left looks more old fashioned because her hair is pulled back and she has a frilly dress on that covers most of her skin, then the girl on the right has more of a modern hairstyle and also a more modern dress that shows more skin. I really liked this element of it and it really set the picture off for me.

This photo caught my eye because of the reflection in the water and the fact that the colours in the water are almost as vivid as the actual buildings. I think the reason i liked this was because you dont often see reflections as sharp as what these are. I also liked the cool colours that make up all the photo. To me the photo also looks like it has a purple hue to it which to me makes it look prettier rather than just being bleak blocks of flats next to some grass and some water.
