Week 2-Textiles

On the first and second day in textiles we made drawings that we would later use for inspiration for our final piece of work.
We created images by drawing with our eyes closed, with our opposite hands and also with sticks and ink. We had short amounts of time so we couldnt get the images perfect and precise, even when we were drawing with our correct hand. Here i have added some images of what i created in these sessions.

On the afternoon of teh second day we created some monoprints using our images that we had previously done. I enjoyed doing this but after a while i got a bit fed up because they didnt look how i wanted them too and i couldnt figure out how to do it, but i did produce some okay prints.

Our final day was a lot more independent as we were creating something on our own. I liked this day most because of this. We had to create two pieces of work on a strip of cartridge paper, using inspiration from the images we had made previously. We made these completely with paper and ink, paint or pencil.
We then designed a square using the same method but with fabric this time.

I think this week was okay but it was a bit samey, as the first 2 days seemed to be full of the same thing and i didnt really understand why we were doing it but when it got to the final stage it did make more sense.
